Yada Academy Held Lily Savoring Trip

On the afternoon of August 21st, Yada Academy held the Lily Savoring Trip activity with the theme of “Close to Nature, Fly the Mood” to pick lilies at Yada Yangxian Xishan. The town residents entered into Yada Agricultural Garden to learn about the lily and pick them, experiencing the joy of farming. They also tasted lily drinks and made lily and green bean cakes to feel the fresh gift of nature and the life with delicacy.

At the organic lily planting base of Yada Agricultural Garden, General Manager of Yada Agriculture Mr. Yang Jie introduced the plantation of Yixing lily and the characteristics of Yada Agricultural Garden’s Yixing lily. Yixing lily was hailed as the Ginseng of Taihu Lake due to higher medicinal value and edibleness. Yada Agriculture’s lily planting base locates at the mountain area in the south of Yixing and beside Yangxian Lake. The ecology offers exclusive situation for high quality organic agricultural plantation.

For 100% original quality and unique texture, Yada Agriculture follows the method of organic planting in a strict manner to realize no pesticide, no chemical fertilizer and no pollution. In 2021, Yixing lily of Yada Agriculture got authentication of the national organic product.

Under the guidance of staff, the residents carefully dug lilies, enjoying the joy of farming.

After the digging, Yada Academy held a class to teach lily and green bean cakes making. In the class, the teacher introduced and demonstrated the making method of lily and green bean cakes, and guided residents to make. By rubbing and molding, delicate and delicious cakes were completed.

Yada Academy selected fresh lilies to cook lily and green bean soup that could release summer heat. Residents did not only taste the sweet lily soup, but also felt the thoughtful service of the Town.

The Lily Savoring Trip was one of immersive experience activities held by Yada Academy. With the changing of seasons, Yada Academy leads residents to feel the harvest of the nature, integrates the natural seasons into residents’ daily life, brings the joy of farming to the residents, and makes them to feel the fresh gifts from the nature during picking and enjoy healthy and good life at Yangxian Xishan.
