Three Yada Parks Held Laba Public Benefit Activities to Share Spring Festival Atmosphere

On January 10th, the eighth day of the twelfth lunar month, three Yada Parks, namely Wuzhen Yada International Health Ecological Park, Yixing Yada Health Ecological Park and Gaochun Health Leisure Tourism Park, held Laba Festival theme activities, delivering warmth through public benefit practice on the traditional festival, experiencing the Spring Festival atmosphere and hometown love, as well as welcoming the New Year.

In the morning of the day, Wuzhen Park’s 8th “Aromatic Laba Porridge & Warm Neighborhood” Activity was held at the south square of Reception Hall in Wuzhen Graceland. According to the festival custom, the porridge materials were donated by Graceland residents. Volunteers were in charge of sorting and cooking. More than 400 bowls of porridge were sent out during the Activity. In consideration of the elderly’s limited mobility, Graceland staff specially delivered the porridge to the centenarians’ home, passing on winter warmth.

The 2nd “Reunion Porridge with Eight Ingredients from Hundred Homes” Activity of Gaochun Park was warmly held on the morning of the 10th at Reception Hall in Gaochun Graceland. Residents were actively involved with helping the staff to fulfill the event purpose, namely collecting ingredients, cooking and sharing Laba porridge with neighborhood. The Activity lasted to the evening and delivered nearly 200 bowls of porridge.

Laba Festival Activity at Yixing Park was made up of a public benefit visit and a literati gathering. On the morning of the 10th, Yixing work team with Yada Academy student representatives visited Yixing Social Welfare Center and Hufu Town Nursing Home. They donated utilitarian items, such as eight ingredient porridge, milk and thermal cloth, to the elderly of no family, sending out festival greeting and fulfilling CSR.

In the afternoon, 2nd Yangxian Xishan Laba Literati Gathering was held at Yada Life Bookstore. With the theme of “Recall the Past, Embark New Year”, the Activity gathered more than 40 persons, including residents and staff, to exchange reading understanding, share Laba customs at different regions, enjoy instrument performance and tasting Laba porridge. After the Activity, staff from Yada Academy and Property Management as well as resident representatives sent Laba porridge to senile elderly families, jointly welcoming the Year of Tiger.

Ever since its establishment, Yada has been holding on to the principle of Public Benefit First, positively fulfilling the social responsibility and staying committed to promote Chinese Culture.
