A Poetic and Reunited Lantern Festival at Yangxian Xishan

On the afternoon of February 15th, Yangxian Xishan Lantern Festival Literati Gathering with the theme of A Poetic Reunion on Lantern Festival was held at Yada Life Bookstore. More than 50 persons including the residents and the staff participated the activity. They tallked about the folk customs, read poems, guessed lantern riddles and made sweet dumplings together, spending a romantic, poetic, warm and joyful Lantern Festival in the literary atmosphere with the tea aroma and instrument playing.

Ms. Yu Xiao, one of Yangxian Xishan residents, as one Xishan reading leader, told the origine and customs of the Lantern Festival. She also recited the Lantern Festival by Mr. Xin Qiji, sending best wishes to all people. Ms. Yu Xiao also explained some popular verses about the landscape at Yangxian Xishan, and shared her poetic life here.

The Park's residents and staff recited poems on the Lantern Festival respectively, which showed the romance of the ancient people as well as the blessing of the contemporary people. Every beautiful verse delivered the charm of the Lantern Festival from the ancient to today.

During the event, Mr. Zhang, one resident from Shaanxi read the local rustic song on the Lantern Festival in his native dialect, winning shouts of applause.

Other residents and staff from different regions of China shared the festival customs of their hometowns, making everyone to understand different Lantern Festival culture and feeling the festival culture and strong nostiglia carried by the Festival.

The Gathering was actively participaed by residents, staff and other people. They showed their talents and spent a romantic Lantern Festival at Xishan.

Guessing lantern riddles is one of key folk customs on the Lantern Festival. All participants read the riddles carefully and found the joy of exploring the answer.

The activity invited chefs of Town Canteen to show the making method of sweet dumplings on the site. All participants tried actively. The staff from HR Department, Yada Academy and the Property Management Department prepared boiled glue puddings, bring warmth to Xishan residents on such a good day.

The Lantern Festival Literati Gathering was one of the series Xishan Reading Leaders Program. The Program was launched in April 2021. In each month, the Program held the reading sharing salon with different themes according to the holiday or seasons. At the end of this activity, Co-founder of Yada Academy Mr. Yang Kui revealed the reading salon theme in March. On March 21st, it will explain the story about the horizontal boards of Yangxian Xishan.

On each importanta day, Yangxian Xishan shows a special beauty to the Town residents. We expect we could meet the best ourselves in every gathering and harvest joyful life.
