Wuxi Opera RETURN HOME Settled at Yada Yangxian Xishan

On the evening of September 17th, large-scale contemporary Wuxi Opera RETURN HOME grandly staged at Yada Theater of Yada Yangxian Xishan. Beautiful setting and catching performance offered the audience a wonderful opera feast. Yixing municipal leaders Mr. Ma Zhong and Mr. Zhang Yi, Chairman of Yada Mr. Jiang Jianning, related leaders from Yixing municipal Culture, Sports, Broadcast, Television & Tourism Bureau and Yangxian Ecotourism Resort as well as responsible people from Yangxian Ecotourism Resort hotels and homestays watched the performance.

The Wuxi Opera RETURN HOME follows the affection development of Mr. Jiang Shangyuan and his wife Ms. Lin Xiaoman, telling a story  of Yixing homestay family. The couple is brought about reconciliation by others’ “fixing up”. They all return their own home respectively.

In virtue of local culture, the Wuxi Opera RETURN HOME keeps up with the time trend and integrates large amount of Yixing cultural history, local conditions and customs. By vivid words and beautiful libretto, it shows the lively development of Yixing homestay and the vivid scenes of rural revitalization, as well as advocates the dedication spirit of basic level cadres as giving up their own home to take care of everyone, and the traditional virtue of local people as  helping and loving each other.

Wuxi Opera is characterized by singing. It is a kind of local traditional opera popular along Shanghai-Nanjing line, Hangzhou-Jiaxing-Huzhou Region as well as the urban and rural area of southern Anhui. It has been the national intangible culture heritage. In virtue of lyric melody and rich flavor of life, it fully displays the charm of water town in Yangtze River delta and is a beautiful scenery line of Jiangnan opera art.

Organized and guidance by Mr. Luo Zhou, the Director of Jiangsu Drama Creation Center, RETURN HOME was jointly created by young screenwriters Yu Sihan, Xiang Yang, Hua Chunlan and Wang Jie. The well-known young director Ms. Yu Manwen directed the opera. The music is composed by the national first-class composer Mr. Feng Shiming. The national first-class actor Mr. Han Zhiliang, national second-class actor Mr. Jiang Ming, Ms. Yang Lifang, Mr. Chen Qing and outstanding  young actor Ms. Yan Xiaojun of Yixing Wuxi Opera Arts Heritage and Development Center play the leading roles. Their mellow singing and wonderful performance perfectly integrate opera art and story line to offer the audience brilliant artistic enjoyment.

Since September 17th, Wuxi Opera RETURN HOME would officially settle at Yangxian Ecotourism Resort and be regularly performed at Yangxian Xishan Yada Theater on every Saturday evening. It is a key measure to enrich the night travel content, increase travelers’ stay stickness and improve homestays’ occupancy in southern Yixing mountain area, lighting up the night economy of this area.

Yada Yangxian Xishan lies besides Yangxian Lake in Yangxian Ecotourism Resort.
