NHC Issued 2021 National Healthcare Development Statistical Bulletin

National Health Committee published 2021 National Healthcare Development Statistical Bulletin. According to the Bulletin, the average life expectancy increased to 78.2 years old in 2021 from 77.93 years old in 2020, the medical beds for every one thousand residents were up to 6.7 beds in 2021 from 6.46 beds in 2020. Till the end of 2021, there were six national level geriatrics clinic research centers, 4685 second-class and above hospitals and comprehensive hospitals with geriatrics department, 5290 elderly-friendly comprehensive hospitals, 15431 primary healthcare institutes, and 1027 medical institutes with hospice care.
