Xishan Leading Reader Program “Talking About Celebrities” Successfully Held

On the morning of April 17th, the Xishan Leading Reader Program held the “Talking About Celebrities” Reading Salon at the Life Bookstore of Yada Academy of Yixing Yada Health Ecological Park. The national Class-A actress and the performing artist Ms. Fang Zichun shared her artistic career and talked about the development of Beijing People’s Art Theater and many past stories.

Ms. Fang is the national Class-A actress and the performing artist. She was born in an old and well-known artistic family and grew up in Beijing People’s Art Theater compound. Her representative work contains modern drama Here A Path to Cloud and Zhou Serves as General, dubbed film Titanic, movie and TV play The Epic of A Woman, Marriage and Career, A Couple Buying House and etc. For years, she wrote books with her husband, including Who Is In the Middle of the Stage, Talking About Celebrities, One Cabbage, Memory of Wei County and etc.

During the Event, Ms. Fang told the experience of writing Talking About Celebrities and One Cabbage. Since 2008, she had collected material and interviewed persons concerned with her husband. They got a large amount of stage photos and old photos, displaying stories of many “People’s Art Theater” performers front stage and behind the scenes at different periods. Via connecting their growth and development at the Theater, they showed the weal and woe behind the stage, the connotation of All for Drama, and daily life out of stage.

Ms. Fang also recited a chapter of Ode to Snow. Soulful performing and forceful rhythm led the audience immersive in. They were also moved by spirit of this elderly artist in her act and move.

Sincere telling brought out resonance. During the interaction, the audience actively exchanged, shared their own feeling and consulted about writing.

Ms. Fang Zichun said, there was no fancy language in her books, and putting sincerity first. She added that, what attracted her by Yangxian Xishan was not only the natural landscape, but also the humanity. She felt happy to live here with friendly neighbors and excellent cultural space for gathering and exchange. She expected Xishan Drama Club become better and better. All members could experience diversified character lives for an abundant cultural life by performing. A resident of Yangxian Xishan and the Host of Beijing TV Mr. Kong Jie introduced the condition of Yangxian Xishan Drama Club.

The Event host Mr. Yang Kui shared his writing experience. He felt sheer to read her books for they showed the manner of a time and the spirit of our fathers at an early age. But much has disappeared now. In his opinion, the process of writing and interviewing was a kind of lifestyle for Ms. Fang Zichun and Mr. Song Miao. At Yangxian Xishan, many residents just began the second half of life after their recent retirement. Compared with our fathers, here was good for longer life cycle with better living environment and healthcare support. Everyone could arrange the wellness living here and make it more colorful.

At the end, the couple Ms. Fang Zichun and Mr. Song Miao donated their works Talking About Celebrities, One Cabbage and Memory of Wei County to Yada Academy. Dean of Yada Academy Ms. Luo Xuhua issued donation certificate to the two artists.
