Two Ministries Encourage Foreign Investors to Set up For-profit Aged-care Institutions in China

To advance the healthy development of China’s aged-care service industry, in recent days, Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Civil Affairs jointly released an announcement on the matters of foreign investors setting up for-profit aged-care institutions to provide aged-care services, etc. in China. According to the announcement, foreign-invested for-profit aged-care institutions are allowed to engage in the domestic investments related to aged-care services, and foreign investors are encouraged to carry out large-scale linkage aged-care institutions, as well as build up premium brands.
