Yada Hospital Held First Rehabilitation Nursing Skill Competition

On April 30th, Zhejiang Yada International Rehabilitation Hospital held the First Rehabilitation Skill Competition. Ms. Shi Meifang, standing member of Rehabilitation Nursing Specialty Committee of Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine, Director of the Association’s rehabilitation nurse clinical training site, member of Rehabilitation Nursing Specialty Committee of Zhejiang Nursing Association and Chairman of Rehabilitation Nursing Specialty Committee of Jiaxing Nursing Association, Ms. Ju Beihua, Director of Yada Hospital Nursing Department and Head Nurse Ms. Xia Qin were invited to be judges. 18 nurses from rehabilitation wards of Yada Hospital attended the competition.

This Competition aims to enhance the nursing skills at Yada Hospital, test the regular trainings’ results, as well as provide more precise and better nursing services. Participants were divided into six groups by draw, three for one group. Based on the case conditions, participants finished three operations, namely patient moving from wheelchairs, anticonvulsant posture positioning and clean intermittent catheterization (CIC), 15 minutes for each operation.

Judges gave marks according to the performance of participants, and chose one first prize, two second prize, three third prize for group operation and three Outstanding Individual Awards for single operation. After the competition, Director Ms. Shi Meifang shared necessary nursing details and skills for rehabilitation. She also encouraged all nurses to keep learning and continue enhancing nursing level.
