21 National Ministries and Commissions Jointly Issued Notice For Supporting Health Industry

Recently, 21 departments including National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Finance, National Health Commission jointly issued the "Action Plan for Promoting the High-Quality Development of Health Industry (2019-2022)", which will implement 10 major projects to complement short-term weaknesses of health industry such as insufficient medical resources, low technological content and shortage of talent factors. The Document proposes: supporting social forces to organize general medical care, specialist medical care, Chinese medicine, third-party medical technology services, rehabilitation, nursing, hospice care and other institutions; encouraging physicians to hold clinics full-time or part-time; through appropriate hospital transformation, aged-care institution improvment and social input, increasing the number of rehabilitation, nursig and retirement institutions with long-term care ability.
