2nd Yada Academy Lecture & Talk Held Successfully

On January 18th 2020, 2nd Yada Academy Lecture & Talk was held at Yada Yangxian Xishan Life Bookstore. Mr. Ye Zhaoyan, the well-known author and Vice President of Jiangsu Writers’ Association, gave a speech named The City Nanjing.

Mr. Ye Zhaoyan was born in Nanjing. His grandfather Mr. Ye Shengtao is an author and educator. Influenced by Jiangnan Culture during childhood, Mr. Ye Zhaoyan had his own unique cognition and understanding on Nanjing city. In his lecture that day, he combed Nanjing’s history from Three Kingdoms period to the Republic of China and from the city name revolution to the urban system transition. He also summarized the great contribution of Jiangnan area to the integral development of China culture from the view of culture in particular. In Mr. Ye Zhaoyan’s eyes, Nanjing is not a narrative space, but also a terrific basic point to comb Chinese history.

After the lecture, Mr. Ye Zhaoyan answered questions from the audience present.

This activity was sponsored by Yada Academy and co-organized by Yixing Tea Culture Promotion Association. The co-founder of Yada Academy and author Mr. Yang Kui hosted it. More than 120 people from each session of Jiangnan area attended the activity.

Yada Academy is the supporting cultural facility of Yixing Yada Health Park. In 2018, it organized “Wuzhen Cultural Lecture Room” at Wuzhen Yada IHEP. Since 2019, it has held several cultural activities at Yixing Yada Yangxian Xishan, including  the Annual Special Lecture  “China’s Economy under World’s Thorough Changes - Glancing Back at 2019 and Looking into 2020” by Dr. Qiu Xiaohua, and The Dwelling of the Heart – exhibition of Xu Xiutang’s Works. Yada Academy Lectures & Talks made its debut on November 23rd 2019 with the first lecture “Geographical Jiangnan and Cultural Jiangnan” by the famous writer and Professor of Tsinghua University Mr. Ge Fei.

The series of activities by Yada Academy have got wide acclaim from culture and knowledge industry. In the future, it will invite cultural masters at home and abroad to offer more wonderful cultural living content continuously.
