State Council: Deepening Medical Insurance Reform & Introduce Private Players to Related Services

General Office of the State Council issued the Notice on Deepening Reform Key Tasks of the Medical and Health System for the Next Half Year 2020 on July 23rd 2020. The Notice asks to raise the basic medical insurance level, increase 30 yuan per capita in the financial subsidy standard of the basic medical insurance for urban and rural residents; enhance the management on national medical insurance fund, improve the related monitoring mechanism, accelerate the development of commercial health insurance, encourage commercial insurance institutions to offer comprehensive health insurance products and services with multiple security functions, and actively introduce private participants to healthcare related services.
