Ice-Snow Tourism Revenue Expected to Reach 300 Billion Yuan This Winter

On January 5th 2022, China Ice-Snow Tourism Development Forum was held in Beijing. China Tourism Research Institute pointed out that despite the impact of epidemic, stimulated by the supply & demand of Winter Olympic Games, the return of ice-snow outbound tourism, the upgrading of tourism consumption and the national layout of ice-snow facilities, the number of ice-snow leisure tourists in China has increased from 170 million in the Year of 2016-2017 to 254 million in 2020-2021 during the ice-snow season. It is expected that the number of ice-snow leisure tourists in China will reach 305 million in 2021-2022 ice-snow season, and the income of ice-snow leisure tourism in China is expected to reach 323.3 billion yuan.
